NOVA CITY APARTMENT

Locating at Taipa area of Macau, the apartment is a three-bedroom/ two-baths apartment with spacious living room, dining room, and large exterior windows overlooking Rue de Coimbra.

With the owner leasing instead of owning the apartment, we limited excessive interior fit-out works, instead to design and install flexible, portable, and modular furniture pieces.

The perpendicular mirror walls- meant for Pilates exercise use- gave reflection / illusion of the interior space with extended and crossed mirror frames. The living room is not meant to be minimal, the client simply did not fancy excessive furniture or decoration, instead, asked for simple clean lines, larger scale items to occupy the spacious room, with accent colors from cowhide area carpet and cushions.

For the home office, instead of a conventional long work table with task chair behind it, we designed a round table with a ceiling mounted lighting fixture. The setting is more flexible for performing individual tasks as well as causal meeting.
