The Swire Properties Art Basel Lounge offers a welcoming platform for fostering connections. This year’s installation, titled “Intersection”, aims to establish an inviting space which promotes interaction. With a distinctive timber latticed canopy, we invite sharing of stories, ideas, and connections.

Reuse of materials underlies the design of the Lounge. The majority of the finishing materials have been reclaimed from previous Swire Properties’ project and initiatives. The striking wood lattice canopy and patterned metal flooring, meticulously recrafted from recycled materials, create an inviting space that defines the pavilion's volume and the open space it encloses. The wood lattice is set to be disassembled for other usage following Art Basel Hong Kong 2025, while the metallic structural components are designed to be dis-assembled and are entirely recyclable.

This project not only links used materials but also bridges the past and present, intertwining the experiences and insights from former and current projects, underscoring that the Swire Properties Art Basel Lounge is a vital link in this ongoing narrative of connection.
